I'm the first to admit that I may wear boots too often. But, you know what? How often is too often? Um. Never. I love all my boots and I'd wear them everyday if I could. One of my biggest pet peeves, though, is when girls try to wear boots with everything...and it just doesn't WORK. Sure, you can wear them with a lot of stuff...I do! But you have to know how, where, when, and what to wear them with.
Being that Autumn is among us, so is boot season. For me, boot season is a year-round affair...but for the style beginners out there, this is the one time their boots see the light.
From military lace ups, to ankle booties, to over the knees, to buckled riding boots...the possibilities are endless. Pair knee highs with a comfy set of over the knee socks and tights to perfect the edgy layering trend. Ankle boots look great with a colorful or lacy mid-ankle sock, peeking out just a bit, for a girly look. Riding boots pair well with dresses that have a vintage or 60's flare. They can make a dress more casual and wearable for every day. Wedge boots are comfortable, easy to walk in, and they give you height without the wobbles. I could spend all day putting together various outfits with 5 different boot options each - but I'll spare you.
Just for kicks, take a look at these 10 boot-approved dresses. Remember to layer. Throw on a cropped leather jacket and a scarf, or a blazer and those high socks. Hats and belts are always good, too. Be creative and, most importantly, be confident in what you choose to wear. If you think you look good, everyone else will too. Cheers to fall fashion. XX
